History[]
Todd was called to the hospital by Kevin Covington when his son, Darren, was there to participate in a clinical trial for his inoperable glioma. When Todd found out that his recovery would take four to six weeks, he planned to stay with Darren the whole time, despite the fact that he was meant to deploy five days later. Darren warned him not to jeopardize his life as a soldier because it's who he is. Later, Todd begged Darren's father to let him see Darren, but Darren had already died.
