Tomás Silva is a person Theo Ruiz knows from his childhood neighborhood.
History[]
House Fire[]
Tomás was a bystander at a house fire when he recognized Theo Ruiz as one of the responding firefighters. He called out to Theo and told him he was just like his dad. He also told Theo to come by the barbershop, promising to give him the family discount. He later repeated the comment about Theo's dad after watching Theo bring the family's Bible out to give it to them, though Theo insisted he was just doing his job. ("I Know A Place")
Inspection[]
Vic and Theo came to Tomás's barbershop to do an inspection. While they were there, Tomás insisted on giving Theo a haircut. Vic quickly noticed some dangerous violations, but Tomás was reluctant to make changes. He promised he'd call an electrician in the next week, but Vic said he needed to fix it right away to pass his inspection. She and Theo repaired his fuses and instructed him on how to prevent future issues. ("Come As You Are")
Fire[]
When Tomás's barbershop caught fire, station 19 responded. Theo asked if it was because of the extension cords, but Tomás promised he'd done exactly as they told him to. He also told them that José Ortega was still inside the shop. He was upset that Theo didn't go in after him, but Theo explained that his job was to tend to them. When José was brought out and taken to the hospital, Tomás offered to drive Mrs. Ortega to the hospital. He said whatever was left of his shop would be waiting when he got back. ("Could I Leave You?")
Career[]
He is the owner and operator of Silva & Sons Barbershop.
