Surprising Simone[]
Trey surprised Simone by showing up at her home with flowers. Mika used Simone's Instagram to confirm that he and Simone actually knew each other before letting him in. Once Simone got home, he gave her the flowers and hugged her. ("All Star")
Trey and Simone fought after his arrival about him not recognizing how miserable she was in her residency, but made peace around the time Mika and Lucas threw a party at the house. They went to the party together and talked about Simone coming back to her old residency. He said that Grey Sloan wasn't up to her caliber as it had lost its glory. He wanted her to plead her case and go back to her old hospital. She was upset at him for suggesting that and walked away, telling him not to follow her. He came and found her after she had calmed down. He apologized and said he loved her. They reminisced about their early relationship. At the end of the day, he said he'd move to Seattle to be with her. She reminded him of all the things he'd said about what she did wrong in her residency, but accepted his marriage proposal. Wedding Planning[]
Trey went back home, but he and Simone started their wedding planning over the phone. Trey found a venue that was available the second weekend in June, but Simone wasn't sure about it. Later in the day, Trey called back and asked what she thought about a donut bar instead of a wedding cake. She told him she wanted to get married sooner than June, like within the next month. She proposed doing it in her grandmother's backyard, which would mean a lot to her and her grandma. ("Training Day")
Wedding[]
Trey surprised Simone on their wedding day, coming to her home and bringing her a latte. As they prepared to get married, he hit a snafu when he learned that the florist had the wrong date and wouldn't be delivering flowers. Mika and Taryn helped him by improvising floral arrangements. However, when Simone was meant to walk down the aisle, she instead left the wedding. ("Wedding Bell Blues")
Car Accident[]
Trey decided to go to the hospital to find Simone, but got into a car accident on the way. He broke his arm in the accident, making him fear for his surgical career. He was told that he would likely not have an issue, but would need surgery to repair the break. While he was still in the ER, Lucas came in and he punched Lucas, believing him to be responsible for Simone leaving the wedding. Trey then talked to Simone, promising they could back up and take things slow. Simone reiterated to him that things were over between them. Trey had surgery, which was successful. He was stable afterward and refused pain medication. ("Happily Ever After?")
