History[]
Valeria and her husband saw that the police were looking for the identity of a man at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Recognizing him as their son, they came to the hospital, where they learned that Dorian had been shot and was in the ICU in critical but stable condition. ("Keep the Family Close")
Valeria continued to stay with her son as he healed. When he started to struggle with being unable to eat or leave the hospital, she asked the doctors not to give up on him. They told him it was natural for him to become upset and to make sure she was taking care of herself as well. ("The Marathon Continues")
On Dorian's fifty-sixth day in the hospital, Valeria was again visiting as Dorian prepared to have surgery. ("Blood, Sweat and Tears")
During the Fall City Wildfire, Dorian designed an app that could be used to mark people safe so their families would know even if they couldn't reach them. Valeria then sent it to her contacts from her time working for the city to spread the word. ("Burn It Down")
