Vinicius was at the hospital getting tests done to participate in Owen's study on pulmonary fibrosis in veterans when an explosion shook the hospital. Vinicius and the others immediately sought cover and began wondering where the explosion came from. When they recovered from the initial shock, Owen ordered Vinicius and Amy Sacilotto to help set up a triage area outside the hospital to prepare for the incoming wounded. At the end of the day, Owen thanked them for their help.
