Will was working at a restaurant when he was shot in the leg. He was taken to the ER, where they assessed his leg. He had a bullet lodged in his tibia.
While Will was waiting for an OR, he became annoyed at Brad Ackles talking about how he had it better than the rest of them. His surgery was delayed because there were no available ORs. They said they'd get him in as soon as they could.

Will has a good relationship with his co-worker, Kendra Thomas. He says she'll cover shifts when you need her to, she's good with the customers, and she tips the busboys well. When he learned that she had died, he was very upset.
